About me

I didn’t come from shortcuts or easy wins. My story is built on resilience, responsibility, and learning how to rise when things aren’t guaranteed. I was raised by a mother whose strength and sacrifice shaped everything I believe about work, family, and perseverance. From early on, I understood that nothing would be handed to me—everything would have to be earned.Growing up, I was given an opportunity that changed my trajectory. It wasn’t just about access—it was about exposure. It showed me a different path and forced me to think bigger than my surroundings. That shift in perspective stuck with me. It taught me to look beyond what’s in front of me and start building toward something more.I had to navigate environments where I didn’t always feel like I belonged. That experience forced me to develop discipline, awareness, and the ability to adapt. I learned how to compete, how to push myself, and how to keep moving forward—even when things weren’t clear or comfortable.When I entered the workforce, I started at the ground level. There were no shortcuts—just long days, learning, and taking on responsibility before I felt fully ready. Over time, I built confidence through experience, and that experience turned into leadership.In 2013, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life—I acquired the company I had once worked for. It wasn’t a perfect situation. It was a risk. The business needed direction, stability, and growth. I didn’t have everything figured out, but I knew I was willing to take ownership and do the work.Running a manufacturing business taught me quickly that leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about accountability. Hiring, retaining, and developing people became one of the hardest parts of the job. You can’t fake leadership in that environment. You either show up consistently, or you lose people.There were challenges, setbacks, and moments where things could have gone the other way. But I stayed focused on building something real. Over time, the company became profitable, stabilized, and positioned for growth—not because of theory, but because of real decisions and real accountability.At the same time, I was raising a family. Being a father to two driven, competitive kids—both pursuing athletics at a high level—added another layer to everything I do. It reinforced the importance of discipline, consistency, and showing up every day, not just in business, but at home.Balancing business and family forced me to get clear on what matters. Leadership doesn’t stop when you leave work. It carries into your home, your relationships, and the example you set. That’s something I take seriously, and it shapes how I approach everything.Over time, people started paying attention—not because I was trying to be visible, but because the work was real. I’ve been fortunate to be featured by major media outlets and organizations, but what matters most to me is that everything I talk about comes from real experience.Today, I speak to business owners, leaders, teams, and young athletes about what it actually takes to grow, lead, and perform under pressure. I don’t talk about theory. I talk about what works, what doesn’t, and what it takes to keep going when things get hard.At the end of the day, I believe life is short, opportunities are earned, and the people around you matter more than anything. Whether it’s in business, leadership, or family, the goal is simple—show up, do the work, and leave things better than you found them.
